Terms & Conditions

These terms explain how you may use our website, courses, digital resources, live sessions, and related services. Please read them carefully, by using the platform, you agree to be bound by them.

Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, creating an account, enrolling in a programme, purchasing a resource, or participating in any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

These terms apply alongside any programme-specific information shared on individual course or service pages, including schedules, fees, and enrolment details. Where a programme page sets out additional conditions, those conditions apply to that specific offering.

About Your Brain Buddy

We're a psychology learning and mental health organization based in India, founded by Manrehet Kaur in 2024. We offer online courses, student resources, psychoeducation, workshops, therapy, assessments, mentorship, and consultations, delivered by qualified professionals where applicable.

The platform is built for students, educators, practitioners, and anyone curious about psychology and mental wellbeing. Our offerings grow and change as our programmes and services evolve.

Learning and professional services

Content on this site, including articles, worksheets, course materials, workshops, and live sessions, supports psychology learning and wellbeing. Therapy, psychological assessments, diagnosis, and treatment are only available where offered through qualified professionals on the relevant service channels.

You're responsible for how you apply what you learn. Our materials complement formal education, professional supervision, and qualified mental health support when that's needed.

We may update, revise, or replace courses, resources, and services over time to improve quality, reflect new learning, or respond to operational needs. Some content may become temporarily unavailable, be withdrawn, or be replaced with updated versions. We do not guarantee that any specific resource or programme will remain available indefinitely.

Not Medical Advice

General website content supports psychology learning and awareness. Therapy, psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment are provided only where available and by appropriately qualified professionals through the relevant service channels. Browsing this site alone does not establish a doctor–patient or therapist–client relationship.

Website information complements care from qualified doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, and other licensed professionals where applicable. Seek appropriate professional support when you need personalised assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or ongoing clinical care.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or any situation that requires urgent attention, contact your local emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately. Information on this website should not delay seeking urgent professional help.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, enrol in paid programmes, or book sessions through our platform, unless we have given written permission otherwise for a specific offering.

By using our services, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you are using our platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

User Responsibilities

You agree to use Your Brain Buddy respectfully and lawfully. This includes engaging with content and community spaces in good faith, providing honest information when enrolling or booking, and not using our platform for harmful, misleading, or unlawful purposes.

You must not:

  • disrupt our website or interfere with other users' access;
  • scrape or harvest data without permission;
  • upload malicious code; or
  • misrepresent your identity or qualifications.

We may restrict or suspend access if these responsibilities are not met.

Account Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please use a strong password and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must not share your login credentials with anyone else. Sharing an account to give others access to purchased courses or digital resources is not allowed and may lead to suspension of your account.

Intellectual Property

The following remain the property of Your Brain Buddy or our licensors unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • branding and logos;
  • graphics and illustrations;
  • course content, PDFs, worksheets, and videos;
  • text and website design; and
  • downloadable resources.

This includes materials you access for free as well as those you purchase or enrol in. Without our prior written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, modify, or distribute any of these materials.

Purchasing or enrolling does not transfer ownership of our content to you. It grants a limited licence to use the materials as described in these terms and on the relevant product page.

Products on Your Brain Buddy

We sell and provide access to a range of educational products and services through our platform, including:

  • online courses, including live or self-paced programmes with lessons, sessions, and learning materials;
  • digital downloads, PDFs, worksheets, templates, and guides; and
  • future membership plans we may introduce from time to time, which could include bundled content, community access, or recurring resources.

Each product page explains what is included, how access works, and whether the item is free, paid, or part of a programme or membership. New product types may be added as our platform grows.

Your Licence When You Purchase

When you buy a product, enrol in a course, or join a membership on Your Brain Buddy, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for your own learning. This licence is for you alone, it does not allow you to share access with others or pass it on to someone else.

To protect our work and our community, you agree that you will not:

  • resell our content;
  • redistribute it to others;
  • upload it to other websites or file-sharing platforms; or
  • present it as your own work.

This applies to all purchased materials, including course recordings, PDFs, worksheets, templates, and guides. You must not share your login credentials with anyone else. Your account is for your personal use only.

If we find that content or account access is being misused, such as through sharing, reselling, or unauthorised distribution, we may suspend or close your account and revoke access without a refund, where permitted by applicable law.

Course Enrolment

Course descriptions, fees, schedules, prerequisites, and capacity limits are published on individual programme pages. Enrolment is confirmed only after you complete the sign-up process and, where applicable, successful payment.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an enrolment if a programme is full, if payment cannot be verified, or if we reasonably believe the enrolment would not be appropriate. If we cancel a programme on our side, we will communicate next steps, including any applicable refund, in line with our refund policy.

Programme content, facilitators, schedules, and formats may be updated during a course run where reasonably necessary. We may also retire or replace programmes over time. Access to a specific course is limited to the offering you enrolled in unless we state otherwise.

Digital Resources

Digital resources on our platform include PDFs, worksheets, templates, guides, and other downloadable or viewable files. Some are available free of charge; others require purchase, programme enrolment, or an active membership before you can access them. Access terms, including whether a download is permitted, are shown on each resource page.

All digital resources are covered by the licence and use rules described above. They are for your personal educational use only.

We may update, replace, or remove digital resources from time to time. If you have purchased access, we will aim to preserve reasonable access for the period described at the time of purchase, but we cannot guarantee that every file, link, or format will remain available in the same form indefinitely.

Payments

Fees for courses, resources, workshops, and sessions are displayed before you complete a purchase or enrolment. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise. The price confirmed at checkout is the price that applies to your transaction.

Payments are securely processed through Razorpay or other authorised payment partners. By making a payment, you authorise us and our payment partners to charge the amount shown at checkout. You are responsible for any fees or charges imposed by your bank or payment provider.

We may change our prices at any time without prior notice. Updated prices apply to new purchases from the time they are published on our platform. Applicable taxes, including GST or other government levies, may be added where required by law.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, as described in that section and on the relevant product or enrolment page. If you have a payment issue or believe a charge was made in error, please contact us before disputing a transaction through your bank.

A successful payment does not always mean immediate access. Access to courses, downloads, or other content may be delayed while we verify your payment, enrolment details, or account status. We will grant access as soon as verification is complete.

We reserve the right to cancel transactions that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, unauthorised, or made in breach of these terms. If a payment fails, please retry only through our official checkout on the Your Brain Buddy website, do not send payments through unofficial links, personal accounts, or third-party intermediaries.

Refund Policy Reference

Refund eligibility depends on the specific programme or product you purchase. The applicable refund terms are shared at the time of enrolment or checkout and may vary between courses, resources, and live sessions.

If you have questions about a refund for a particular purchase, please contact us with your enrolment or order details. We will review requests in line with the policy that applied when you signed up.

Live Sessions

Live courses, workshops, and sessions are held online through video conferencing or similar tools. Session links, timings, and participation guidelines are shared with enrolled participants in advance.

Session schedules and speakers or facilitators may change where reasonably necessary, for example, due to availability, programme updates, or operational needs. We will aim to notify enrolled participants of material changes in good time.

Recordings of live sessions may or may not be made available, depending on the programme. Where recordings are provided, access is limited to enrolled participants for personal learning only. You may not make unauthorised recordings of sessions, and you may not redistribute, resell, or publicly share any recordings, whether made by us or captured without permission.

Respectful participation is required at all times. You are expected to join on time, engage thoughtfully, and maintain confidentiality where personal experiences are shared in a group setting. Abusive, disruptive, harassing, or discriminatory behaviour may result in removal from a session or programme without a refund, where permitted by applicable law.

Attending a live session does not automatically create a therapist–client, doctor–patient, or other professional treatment relationship unless expressly agreed under the terms for that service. Session scope and professional standards are explained at booking. Missed sessions may not always be replaceable, depending on the programme format.

Community Conduct

Your Brain Buddy is built around learning, curiosity, and mutual respect. Whether you are in a live session, comment thread, messaging channel, or social community linked to our platform, you agree to communicate thoughtfully and avoid harassment, discrimination, hate speech, spam, or content that is abusive or exploitative.

We may remove content or restrict participation that violates these standards or undermines the safety of our community. Repeated or serious breaches may result in removal from a programme or permanent suspension of access.

Limitation of Liability

Your Brain Buddy provides educational content and services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep information accurate and our platform reliable, we do not guarantee that content will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suited to every individual need.

We do not guarantee any specific learning outcomes, career results, health improvements, or personal changes from using our courses, resources, or sessions. What you gain depends on your own effort, circumstances, and application of the material.

We do not promise that our website, courses, or downloads will always be available. The platform may be interrupted, slowed, or temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical faults, internet issues, or events outside our reasonable control. We are not liable for loss arising from downtime, delayed access, or missed sessions caused by such interruptions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Your Brain Buddy and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, income, or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to a specific purchase will not exceed the amount you paid us for that purchase, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or failures to perform our obligations where these result from events beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • natural disasters or pandemics;
  • power or internet outages;
  • government actions or strikes;
  • platform failures by third-party providers; or
  • other circumstances we could not reasonably prevent or plan for.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Your Brain Buddy, its founder, team members, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your misuse of the platform, your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or third-party rights, or your unauthorised sharing, copying, or distribution of our content.

Severability

If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue in full effect. The invalid part will be replaced only to the minimum extent needed to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.

Waiver

If we do not enforce a right or provision under these terms on one occasion, that does not mean we waive that right or provision for the future. Any waiver must be given in writing to be effective.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the last updated date shown at the top.

Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with a revision, you should stop using our services and contact us regarding any active enrolments.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Your Brain Buddy will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Before starting formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, it may be pursued through the appropriate courts in India in accordance with applicable law.
